Putin says Russia sees projects in Iraqi Kurdistan legitimate
MOSCOW, Jun 7 (PRIME) – Russia’s plans in Iraqi Kurdistan are legitimate because they are not targeted against Baghdad, President Vladimir Putin said during a live Q&A conference with the people on Thursday.
“We support relations with official Baghdad, and we deem all our plans in Iraq, including in the part called Iraqi Kurdistan, legal and promising, they have no goal of either getting involved in conflicts, or stimulating any conflicts in Iraq,” he said. “On the opposite, all our projects are aimed at development of cooperation with Iraq at large, including Iraqi Kurdistan.”
